A 28-YEAR-OLD man was mauled and stabbed with broken bottles by his neighbors during a drinking spree in barangay Poblacion, Sibonga town, southern Cebu on Tuesday night.
Sonny Boy Reducas was roughed up following an argument with his neighbors, Crisostomo Caparida, 27, and Teodulfo Fiel, 23, police said.
They were drinking in separate stalls in the barangay plaza when Reducas was approached and an argument broke out.
When Reducas tried to walk away, he was followed and mauled.
Police said the suspects stabbed the victim with broken bottles.
The two suspects fled after the mauling but were later arrested.
The victim was rushed to the Carcar District Hospital for treatment.
