THE bodies of two unidentified men were found in separate places in Cebu City.

A man, who was believed to be in his 40s and was about 5-foot-3 in height, was found slumped on the corners of M.C. Briones and D. Jakosalem Streets near the Cebu City Hall building past 3 a.m. yesterday.

The man bore a stab wound in the neck.

The man was already dead when members of the Emergency Respond Unit Foundation (Eruf) arrived.

The body was brought to the Saint Francis Funeral Homes on N. Bacalso Ave. for an autopsy.

In barangay Labangon, the body of an unidentified man riddled with stab wounds was found stuffed inside a sack early morning on Saturday.

Residents in the area told police that the dead man was a scavenger.

The body was found by another scavenger, Robert Guarin, about 6 a.m.

Police said Guarin saw a sack inside a plastic garbage container and was shock to see the dead man inside the sack.

SPO4 Alex Dacua, homicide investigator of the Cebu City Police Office, said the fatality was estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old and was about five-foot in height.

Further investigation will be conducted to identify the bodies and determine the perpetrators in the killings. CORRESPONDENTS CHRIS A. LIGAN AND CHITO O. ARAGON
