TO SPEED up the investigation of crimes in Cebu province, police are forming two teams of Scene of the Crime Operations (Soco).
Each team with seven to nine personnel has been training at the Cebu City Crime laboratory for two weeks now, said Senior Supt. Erson Digal, director of the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO).
The CPPO lacked its own Soco team for several years, and had to ask the help of Cebu City police.
This was a factor in the delay of investigation of some crimes and generating reports, said Digal.

After the teams? training, Digal said Camp Crame promised to assign a doctor and a chemist to assist them.
After forming the teams, the next step is to provide the facilities.
