AN electrician was stabbed and wounded by his fellow worker following an argument in their construction site in barangay Ibabao, Mandaue City on Thursday morning.

Marcelino Celpar, 36, was stabbed in the back. He was rushed to the Vicente Sotto Medical Center in Cebu City.

The suspect, Reneboy Mangilimutan, a carpenter, was arrested by the security guards of the construction site. He was later turned over to the Mandaue City Police Station 1 in barangay Centro.

Police said the two were workers of the expansion project of the Super Metro mall.

A nine-inch knife allegedly used in the stabbing was recovered from Mangilimutan.

It was not immediately known what caused the argument between the two workers. REPORTER DALE G. ISRAEL
