TWO men were arrested at a checkpoint in barangay Aliwanay, Balamban town, western Cebu, where they were caught carrying dried marijuana.
Dried marijuana leaves wrapped in a newspaper were recovered from Gino Brigola Candralo, 22, and Restituto Narvasa Curacha, 20, on Tuesday, said police.
The two men were on board a motorcycle driven by Curacha when they were arrested at 8:20 p.m. Police said the two men tried to evade the checkpoint. When they were cornered, Candralo was holding a newspaper with the marijuana inside, said police.
The two men are detained at the Balamban police station pending the filing charges against them.
