The bodies of two men with Chinese or Korean-looking features and tatoos were found in Naga City, Cebu, Sunday morning.
The victims had gunshot and stab wounds. One of them had a slit throat.
A lay minister told city police that he was passing by sitio Tres, barangay Uling when he found the bodies.
The night before they were found, another witness, Marlon Oberes, said he saw a yellow multicab van pulled over the roadside. Upon sensing his presence, the driver of the vehicle moved the van to the area where the bodies were later found.
The dead men were brought to the Minglanilla District Hospital and then transferred to the St. Francis Funeral Homes for autopsy.
Their physical features resembled Chinese, Korean, Japanese or Taiwanese. No identification cards were found on their bodies.
Rodolf Cañeda, security guard of the funeral home, said one man who sustained more wounds looked as if he had rolled off the road cliff. The other man, 5’9” tall, had a slit throat and stab wounds in the stomach.
The case is still being investigated. Dr. Nestor Satur is conducting the autopsy.
