Caught sleeping at his post, security guard Loreto Javines, 54, shot and killed his supervisor Sunday night.

The incident happened on D. Jakosalem Street in barangay Cogon-Ramos, Cebu City. The shooting occured after Elmer Sanico, 42, supervisor of Sentinel Security Agency Inc. , dropped by to check on the guard.

Sanico would often catch the guard asleep and report him to his angecy.

Witnesses said Sanico tried to run away but was chased by the security guard and was shot in the back and abdomen. The guard later surrendered to the Mobile Patrol Group (MPG) when the police arrived.
