First Posted 14:47:00 11/03/2009

A REGIONAL Trial Court (RTC) judge has ordered the transfer of the 15-year-old boy who was accused of killing a Catholic priest in July to the Talisay City Jail despite the absence of a youth detention home.

RTC Judge Olegario Sarmiento mandated personnel of the Second Chance Operation in Cebu City, where the boy was detained, to immediately transfer the boy to the Talisay City Jail, which should have jurisdiction over the detainee.

He, however, asked Talisay City Jail officials to place the boy in a separate cell from other detainees.

The 15-year-old boy, along with Ruselo Ravanes, 28, Jonas Torawan, 21, Gerald Tradio, 18 are accused of robbing and killing Fr. Jovencio Rabusa along the South Coastal Road in barangay Cansojong, Talisay City last July 6.

They face charges of robbery with homicide.
