Two men were arrested in a buy- bust operation conducted in barangay Guiwanon, Dalaguete town, southern Cebu, on Friday night.
Fordken Navarrete, 18, and Alejandro Gremar Belarmino, 18, were taken into custody by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7)
Jessie Tabanao, PDEA-7 assistant public information officer, said they have been receiving reports that one Vicmar Belarmino was allegedly selling drugs in the southern town.
However, during the test buy, it was Navarrete who transacted with the buyer.
When the PDEA agent asked for three more packs of shabu, Navarrete brought him to Vicmar’s house.
When they went to Vicmar's house, Navarrete handed over three more packs to the agent.
PDEA-7 said it was Alejandro who gave the shabu to Navarrete before it was given to the agent.
Four small packs and a big pack of suspected shabu were found in Alejandro's possession after he was frisked.
PDEA-7 said Vicmar may have eluded arrest by escaping through the back door of the house.
The two suspects were detained at the PDEA-7 office pending the filing of charges against them.
