Norwegian killed in Argao road accident

A 60-YEAR-OLD Norwegian national died after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a passenger bus along the national road of barangay Tulic, Argao town, southern Cebu, last Friday.

Police identified the victim as Carl Kindreck Amodsen, a widow who resided in barangay Kadabong.

The victim suffered head injuries and fractured bones in the leg.

He was heading to a beach in Argao when the incident happened.

The police said the victim was about to turn left when an approaching bus with plate number GWH 766 driven by Diego Dib-Dib, of barangay Poblacion, Dalaguete, hit him.

The victim was thrown several meters away from his motorcycle when he was hit.

He was brought to the town's hospital but did not reach there alive.

After hitting the victim, the driver sped off before he surrendered to the Dalaguete police.

The driver was then picked up by Argao police and was detained. CORRESPONDENT RENE F. ALIMA
