4 men detained for fighting with cops

Cebu Daily News
First Posted 07:50:00 09/06/2008

FOUR drunk men were detained after they allegedly challenged policemen to a fistfight on Saturday in Alcoy town, southern Cebu.

Renier Romaguera was first brought to the Alcoy police station after he allegedly punched Nino Jovel Estoquia during a disco.

The police said that when the two faced each other at the police station, Romaguera attacked Estoquia.

The policemen said they subdued Romaguere to stop him from attacking Estoquia.

Moments later, Romaguera's friends Weven Belda, Mario Sestoso and Warren Gitalan arrived.

The four men allegedly became rowdy at the police station, shouting at the policemen and challenged them to a fistfight.

Charges of resistance and disobedience to a person in authority will be filed against the suspects. CORRESPONDENT JUSTIN ANJULI K. VESTIL
