A COUPLE was killed while their 10-year-old grandson suffered minor wounds when a man broke into their house on Wednesday evening in barangay Odlot, Bogo City, northern Cebu.
Rodolfo, 68, and Adelaida Prias, 83, were hacked in the head and body. Their grandson was hit in the back of the neck but was able to run out of the house.
PO3 Alan Dosdos, chief investigator of the Bogo City police, said the motive of the attack could be robbery because the money and jewelry of the victims were missing.
The couple had just sold a cow before the incident, the police said.
“Maybe the culprit was after the proceeds of the cow,” said Dosdos in Cebuano.
The police said that it was possible that the victims knew the culprit because their grandson was also attacked. /CORRESPONDENT JUSTIN ANJULI K. VESTIL
