Three men rapped for teener’s death

Three men were charged with murder case in court for allegedly killing an 18-year-old man on Jan. 27 in barangay San Roque, Talisay City.

The Talisay City Prosecutor's Office found probable cause to elevate murder charges against Marlon Ybañez, Junreal Lariosa and a certain JR, who were accused of killing Leonilo “Eloy” Trazona.

No bail was recommended.

According to witness Orly Villamor, the three accused and three other men took turns in stabbing Trazona using knives and a broken bottle.

Villamor said he and Trazona were heading home after attending a disco when the attacked happened about 4 a.m.

Villamor said Trazona was attacked from behind.

The assailants continued stabbing Trazon even if he had fallen on the ground, said Villamor.

Two others were also included in the complaint but were cleared since they were minors. Assistant City Prosecutor William Canta said that the two minors were exonerated since the witness failed to establish their involvement in the killing.

In their counter-affidavits, the two minors said they were only passing in the place where the incident happened.

They ran after seeing the commotion, they said.
