CEBU CITY, Philippines - A murder complaint was filed against a 24-year-old man who was tagged in the killing of a 17-year-old boy on Monday night in barangay Basak Pardo, Cebu City.
Bill Vixty Regner, 24, turned himself to Basak San Nicolas barangay captain George Rama on Tuesday night before he was brought to the police.
Regner, of Bayanihan Village, barangay San Nicolas denied the accusation.
Regner said he went to Rama to clear his name after he heard rumors that he was the suspect in the killing.
But Senior Insp. George Ylanan, chief of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Bureau, said four witnesses identified Regner as the one who allegedly shot the 17-year-old-boy.
Senior Supt. Patrocinio Comendador Jr., director of the Cebu City Police Office, said the case is considered solved following the filing of the complaint. /Correspondent Chito Aragon
