LAPU-LAPU CITY, Philippines - A Korean tourist was arrested by policemen for physical injuries after he threw a glass at a KTV bar entertainer and damaged her surgically enhanced nose in Lapu-Lapu City.
Sangki Kwag and his wife went to the KTV bar where Carol (not her real name) was working past 11 p.m. on Monday.
Allegedly already drunk, Kwag got angry when Carol's sister Bambi (not her real name), who also works in the same bar, failed to entertain him.
When Kwag started breaking glasses, Carol told Bambi to stay out of the room.
But the move was noticed by Kwag, who lobbed a glass at Carol, hitting her nose.
Carol and Bambi went to the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office to have the incident recorded in the police blotter.
According to the bar's manager, Jun Lee, also a Korean, scolded them for reporting the incident to the police.
She said there are times that Korean guests of the establishment would harass the entertainers but it was tolerated by the management.
Carol and the manager said they were not afraid of getting fired. They want justice for the other entertainers who were also harassed by foreign guests.
At the police office, Kwag wanted to humiliate Carol. He told the media to take a picture of Carol and get her real name.
He told Carol to show her face in front of the camera so everyone would see and know that she is an entertainer.
Carol said she would file charges against Kwag.
