The Bachelors-Femina Club of Cebu hosted a BF medical mission in cooperation with International Pharmaceuticals Inc. on October 12 in Barangay (village) Bolinawan, Carcar City, southern Cebu.

Project chairman Patrick Yared said over 300 families benefited from the outreach activity.

Yared, a Medical Technology intern of Velez College, Bachelors president Kit Lopez and secretary Andrew Escaño spearheaded the medical mission with the support of Dodong Colina and his wife Lilia, who are both engineers.

Prior to the medical mission, the BF tree-planting project was a great success.

Nearly 100 Mahogany seedlings were planted in Balce Farm in the upland barangay of Sirao in Cebu City.

Bolinawan barangay Captain Manuel Licaros thanked the club for reaching out to his constituents.

The BF Club has formed a new direction since its recent revival.

The club itself has been dubbed as a purely social group with “sophistication for the camera.”

But as Bachelors president Kit Lopez and Femina president Celeste Rodriguez set a new direction for the club, the preconceived stigma of the social group is rapidly fading.
