THE Children's Shelter of Cebu Inc. (CSC) is calling the attention the parents and relatives of the abandoned children.
Anderson Bela-ong Zaragoza, 15 and his brother Gibbie Bela-ong Zaragoza, 14, of Tipolo, Mandaue City were abandoned by their mother, Beverly Soliman Bela-ong. The siblings were referred by Social Development Office of Mandaue City, Cebu to the CSC on Nov. 5, 2008. Joselito Adonis Dapper Zaragoza, live-in partner of Beverly from Mandaue City, alleged that Beverly fled to Tinago in Ozamiz City after abandoning Anderson and Gibbie.
Leonard Supapo Garame, 2, was born at the Apas Birthing Center in Cebu City on June 5, 2008. He was five months old when surrendered by his mother to the Department of Social Welfare and Development for legal adoption. He was later turned over to the CSC on Jan. 10, 2009. Roy Labra Garame, however, acknowledged Leonard to be his son. Thus, CSC is requesting Roy Garame to come to their office to discuss his plan for his child.
The CSC is also requesting the parents and relatives of Anderson and Gibbie to get in touch with social workers Crisologo Secuya and Carmelita Baya or CSC field director Paul Healy or visit the CSC office at 178-I.D. Sun Valley, V. Rama Avenue, Cebu City with contact number 2542944.
Failure of the parents and relatives to claim the children within one month will subject the latter to legal abandonment in court.
