THE International NKYR Academy (INA) has called on all massage enthusiasts all over the Visayas and Mindanao to attend its first WAT PO Thai Massage conference at the Rajah Park Hotel in Cebu City on March 8 and 9.
Tess Tatara, executive officer of INA, formerly known as the Tonton TTM Training Center, said Mr. Preeda, WAT PO president, will come all the way from Thailand to grace the two-day affair, which will tackle health and wellness.
She pointed out that WAT PO is acknowledged worldwide as the original Thai traditional massage which, even without the application of oil, has been proven as ?very effective? in relieving body pains and stress due to various factors.
Emmanuel ?Tata? Hernani, INA?s in-house course instructor on the Department of Health (DOH) licensure and President of the Association for the Advancement of Humanistic Psychology (AAHP), said the training of WAT PO, also known in various names, including Passive Yoga, consists of ten days to include theory and hands on instructions which can be a jumpstart for interested individuals who want to pursue a career as massage therapist.
Trainees are then encouraged to enroll in DOH licensure course for a minimum of six weeks.
?If they pass the written and practical tests, they will be issued license by DOH to practice their profession as licensed massage therapist,? Hernani said.
