THE United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) Paris, in cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology ? Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) will conduct a Space Education workshop on Feb. 15 at 7:30 a.m. at the Bahay Casa, University of San Carlos.
The workshop will be a one-day activity with two sessions ? morning session for high school students and teachers and afternoon session for college students, including undergraduate and graduate students.
Lectures will cover topics on astronomy, rocket science, rocket building, rocket launching, space technology applications, microgravity and introduction to air and space law.
Resource speakers are space experts from The Netherlands, France, Baltimore and Japan.
The workshop is one of a series of space education activities organized by the DOST-SEI in the country from Feb. 15 to 19.
