THE finance seminar conducted by fourth year students from Special Topics in Finance class (Management 146) of the University of the Visayas Cebu College (UPVCC) drew around 200 participants composed of students and professionals.
The seminar ?Risk and Return: Be Your Own Finance Guru!? was held at the UPVCC Conference Hall last Jan. 30.
Topics during the eight-hour seminar included capital budgeting and an introduction to the stock market and bond market in the morning,
In the afternoon, speakers discussed more on the practical side of finance.
They included Dan Drebb Eusalan, CPA, who talked about careers in Finance, Lyndon Angan of the Philippine Marketing Association who discussed finance in marketing and Wilson Ng of Ng Khai Development Corp. who tackled finance in small and medium enterprises.
The seminar ended with an interaction between the speakers and the participants.
