A CLASSICAL music benefit concert entitled ?One Humanity: The tie that binds cultures together ? a Christmas tribute by Matan Porat? will be held on Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. at the Marcelo B. Fernan Cebu Press Center in Lahug, Cebu City.
This event is presented by Omnilogy Inc., in cooperation with the Arts Council of Cebu, Cebu Music Learning Center, YMCA Cebu, Rotary Club of Talisay, Peace Philharmonic Philippines and Cebu Events Organizer, an advocacy business started by the Managements students of University of the Philippines Visayas Cebu College (UPVCC).
An Israel-born pianist and composer, Porat has appeared as soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Irish National Symphony Orchestra and Israel Chamber and Symphony Orchestras.
?Through music you can reach the most inner part of a person. You do not have to be rich or poor to appreciate it,? Porat said.
The concert is part of the Bridging the Gap concert series for the benefit of the programs of Omnilogy Inc.
