THE Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort is inviting Mactan Island residents to participate in the daygon sa Bluewater and parol design contest.
In response to the request of schools, the resort has extended the deadline of the submission of entries to Nov. 25.
Daygon sa Bluewater is open to all elementary and high schools in the island. Each choir group should have at least 15 members excluding the accompanist and choir conductor.
Last year?s Daygon sa Bluewater champions Pusok Elementary School (elementary category) and Babag 1 National High School (high school category) will lead this year?s participants as they vie for another title this year.
The winners will win P5,000 (first prize), P3,000 (second prize) and P2,000 (third prize) aside from the trophy.
The parol design contest is also open to all residents of Mactan. Participants are required to submit a 3 ft x 3 ft parol made up of recycled and native materials. First ten entries will receive P500 each while the winning parol will receive P5,000 (first prize), P3,000 (second prize) and P2,000 (third prize). The deadline of entry submission is on Nov. 30.
