The Red Cross Youth-Cebu Chapter will launch its 1st Red Cross Youth-Cebu Humanity Race on Dec. 6 at 6 a.m. in front of the Philippine National Red Cross Cebu office along Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City.
All participants will automatically become a member of the Red Cross and receive one-year accident insurance, plus the opportunity to become a volunteer.
The event is divided into 10K (open), 5K (open), 10K (executive) and 5k (RCY/volunteers/staff) categories with registration fees ranging from P300 for professionals, P200 for students and P150 for the Red Cross volunteers.
The registration fee includes singlet, race number and membership.
The proceeds of the event will fund the six major services of the PNRC, including disaster management.
The humanity race is supported by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Casino Alcohol, Dr. Wong?s Sulfur Soap and Bioderm Germicidal Soap. It is sponsored by Habagat Outdoors, Cebu Sheena Financing Company, Andot Sports, Mr. and Mrs. Justin Z. Benemerito, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Z. Benemerito, Dra. Ory-Ann B. Castillo and Dra. Orencita B. Castillo.
