As part of the year-long 75th anniversary celebration of the Archdiocese of Cebu, the Solemnity of Christ the King will be marked with a grand Eucharistic celebration and a procession at the Cebu City Sports Center on Nov. 22.
Cebu Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal will preside over a concelebrated Mass at the Sports Center oval at 4 in the afternoon.
The Mass will be followed by the procession, which will pass through P. del Rosario Street, then right to Osmeña Boulevard and left to the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral.
The Sports Center will open at 12:30 p.m.
A musical concert by Covenanted Groups will entertain early-birds who wait for the Mass to start.
Motorists are advised to take note of the traffic rerouting to be implemented by the Cebu City Traffic Operations and Management (Citom) in line with the activity.
All mandated organizations, covenanted groups, parishioners from the various parishes in and around Metro Cebu, civic organizations, schools and offices, and all the Catholic faithful are invited to participate and give honor to Jesus Christ as King of the Universe.
