THE Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente (RCCF) is hosting basketball for the benefit of the children with autism of Reach Center and the children with cancer of the Kythe Foundation in Cebu.
The Nokia Pilipinas 2nd Youth Invitational Basketball Championship is organized by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas Inc. and co-sponsored by RCCF.
The four-day tournament will start today until Nov. 8 at the University of San Carlos gymnasium along Sanciangko Street, Cebu City with the national squad of Iran, Japan and Chinese-Taipei completing the four-team cast.
The RP under-16 team is composed of Cederick Labing-isa, Dan Sara, Angelo Alolino, Kiefer Ravena, Cris Tolomia, Von Pessumal, Kevin Ferrer, Jeron Teng, Michael Pate, Raf Nayve, Rene Sta. Maria, Emmanuel Bonleon, Gabriel Reyes, Jeoff Javillonar, Paolo Romero, Prince Caperal and Nestor Bantayan.
Rady Abarintos, club president, said members of the RP team are all groomed for the FIBA-Asia championship in Malaysia. The championship is hosted by RCCF because the club wants to help reinforce values among the youth though sports.
