SM Supermalls held another simultaneous hand washing activity last Oct. 15 with the participation of local government units, schools and the public.
In SM Cebu, representatives from the Cebu City Health Department and the Department of Education, barangay Mabolo officials, Girls Scouts of the Philippines and students from the Pope John Paul II Achievement and Learning Center joined the hand washing activity held 3 p.m. at the Entertainment Plaza
Dwight Oliver S. Lu, assistant mall manager, discussed what’s being done to maintain cleanliness in itssurroundings.
Vice Mayor Michael Rama thanked the mall management for its participation.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, SM prioritizes health concerns to combat a global pandemic.
The Global Handwashing activity was also supported by the United Nations Children's Fund, World Health Organization, the Department of Health and Unilever.
