What used to be graffiti depicting alcohol and drug abuse are now murals that highlight environmental problems and ways to solve it.
The Fine Arts students of the University of the Philippines Visayas Cebu College, in collaboration with Barangay Apas Sangguniang Kabataan Council, repainted the walls of Camp Lapu-Lapu National High School with murals depicting images of a field of flowers and a fish.
The project ran for two months from June to August with UP Fine Arts graduate as its curator.
?The purpose of the mural is to keep children away from drugs, liquor and other forms of violence. We're also promoting environmental awareness among the youth, especially on global warming,? said SK councilor Kyerene Rosales. UP Masscom student Caryl B. Baylon
