RETURNING overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are encouraged to process their papers at the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) regional centers and its satellite offices to decongest the Balik Manggagawa Processing Center at the main office in Manila.
This was announced by POEA Administrator Jennifer Jardin-Manalili. Manalili said the Balik Manggagawa program aims to provide greater and more convenient access to POEA services through its local offices.
OFWs who want to file home leaves from abroad or plan to return to their countries of employment can also be done at the Philippine Overseas Labor Offices (POLO) in the countries they are employed.
?With this, it is easier for OFWs to come home or return to their places of work abroad,? information officer Imelda Lerida of POEA Cebu Regional Office said
Lerida said papers can also be filed at the regional extension units, POEA deputized-Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, POLOs in various Philippine Embassies and consulates abroad as the Balik Manggagawa processing centers.
