THE Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu (HRRAC) is organizing a food photography contest, Photolicious, which is open to all photography enthusiasts.
The competition is one of the highlights of HRRAC’s “Quest for the Best,” which will be held back-to-back with Globalink MP Events International Inc.’s Cebu Food Expo 2009 in the Pacific Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel on July 9 to 11.
Photolicious accepts entries with a minimum participation fee of P100 per entry.
The top 50 photographs will be displayed in the exhibition hall of the hotel during the food expo.
The judges, composed of professional photographers from Cebu and Manila, have been invited to select the 13 finalists out of 50 selected entries.
The 13 finalists with the highest scores will be marked for exhibition for visitors to choose from and vote for.
Sixty percent of the score will come from the panel of judges and 40 percent from the visitors.
The winners will be announced on July 11.
Prizes include P3,000 for the first place, P2,000 for the second place and P1,000 for the third place, plus a gift certificate for an overnight stay for two with breakfast at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino and a plaque.
Graphicstar Imaging Corporation will also print a book for the 50 winning entries and the 13 finalists.
The winners and finalists will receive a free copy of the book.
The deadline for submission of entries is on July 3 at 5 p.m. For further information, please call the HRRAC office at 2325101 or 2326888 local 8944.
