TWO new personal computers (PCs) were donated by Smart Communications Inc. to the Jagna public library in Jagna town, Bohol.

The new PCs were turned over by lawyer Ma. Jane Paredes, public affairs VisMin senior manager of Smart Communications Inc., to Jagna Vice Mayor Teofisto Pagar, who represented Mayor Exuperio Lloren.

Just recently, Smart adopted the Jagna Central School under the Smart Schools Program.

The program provides Internet connectivity, access to online content and training to selected partner elementary and public schools nationwide.

Representatives from Jagna Central School participated in the Smart Schools training last May to learn how to design and craft their lesson plans on the computer.

Another component of the Smart Schools Program which will benefit the town of Jagna is the ‘Doon Po Sa Amin’ project, which allows students to share stories, news and events about their hometown through the Internet.
