The Young Men's Christian Association of Cebu Inc. announced the holding of YMCA children's art drawing contest on February 14 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event is in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Talisay and Omnilogy Inc., a social-profit organization providing empowerment opportunities and philanthropy in Southeast Asia.
This year?s theme is ?Ang Gugma Tulay sa Kalinaw (Love Bridges Peace).?
Participants will include pupils from the different public and private elementary schools in Metro Cebu and out-of-school youths, including street children.
Trophies are at stake for the top three players.
The top three finalists will have the chance to travel to Camiguin Island for a Summer Camp Activity, which is also in cooperation with Omnilogy and the Rotary Club of Talisay on May 8.
Last December 7 and 13, Omnilogy Inc. hosted a Street Children Art Express Moments (START'EM) where they randomly selected street children in Fuente and Plaza Independencia to engage in drawing, storytelling and painting activities to express themselves through art.
In return, the kids donated each of their artwork to Omnilogy, recognizing their capacity to give back to society in their own little way.
YMCA is located on Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City.
