The Center for Promotions and Publications (CPP) brought pride to Southwestern University as it was awarded recently by the Cebu provincial government for supporting the tourism and cultural programs of the province.
The Cebu Provincial Board passed a resolution citing the publication of Suhot mga Sinudsuran ni Leonilo E. Estimo and A Short History of Cebu 1500-1890?s and the Anti-Spanish Revolution in Cebu by Dionisio A. Sy.
These initiatives were considered to have boosted the efforts of the Cebu province in the development of its tourism and culture to underscore Cebu as the oldest and premiere province in the country.
Also recognized was CPP?s initiative in organizing the annual photo exhibit that showcased the splendor of the province, the Jewel of Central Philippines, for the past four years.
The Cebu provincial government also recognized CPP?s support and guidance to the university?s official student publication The Quill, which celebrated its 60th founding anniversary and harvested several regional and national awards.
CCP acts as a medium for development communication fostering strong sense of national discipline, respect and love for the country, the province and Southwestern University.
