THE Department of Tourism in Central Visayas (DOT-7) will conduct a basic tour guiding course during the first quarter of 2009 in Cebu City.
This is in response to the growing demand for quality tour guides due to the increasing number of tourist arrivals.
The 17-day training course aims to educate future tour guides about the Cebuano history, culture and arts through presentations and interactive discussions.
The participants will also be taught how to become an effective and efficient service provider with Filipino values intact.
The participants should pass the written and oral examinations in order to graduate from the course.
Interested participants must be a graduate of any four year course, not more than 45 years old, physically fit and with pleasing personality and proficient in the English language.
Application forms are available at the Accreditation Division of DOT-7 office located at the ground floor of LDM Building, Legaspi Street, Cebu City.
