The Tourism Committee of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is searching for the 2008 Ambassador and Ambassadress of Business and Industry, a revival of the same search in 2002-2005.
The search is open to third and fourth year college students and young professionals who are 18 to 35 years old, having good leadership and communication skills, and willing to undergo seminars on various areas of tourism and trade and become the envoys in promoting the values of tourism and entrepreneurship in their schools and communities.
The winners will receive two round trip tickets from Philippine Airlines to any destination and two units of cellphones from Globe.
Other sponsors are the Grand Holidays and Cebu Fortune Travel, the Visitors Convention Bureau, Speechcom, Ng Khai and Commission of Higher Education in Central Visayas (Ched-7).
The final selection of winners will be held on June 26 at 2:30 p.m. during the Tourism Congress at the CICC Plenary Hall.
The winners composed of one male and one female will be selected from among the 12 finalists after undergoing evaluation and interview by a panel of judges.
They will be CCCI's representatives in youth-related projects.
The nomination forms are available in the schools, in CCCI and in Speechcom at Rivergate Commercial Complex on Gen. Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City.
The deadline for submission of application is May 26.
