THE Guadalupe Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative will hold its 37th general assembly today at the University of San Carlos (USC) Cultural Center on P. del Rosario Extension, Cebu City.

The assembly will start with a Holy Mass at 12 noon to be celebrated by Fr. Butch Malana.

Important and distinguished guests are invited to deliver inspirational messages. There will be a raffle draw of many major and minor prizes and giveaways, which will be given only to those who are present.

All members are encouraged to attend. Participants must bring their pass book and a ball pen for the election of coop leaders: 3 Board of Directors, 3 Audit and Inventory Committee, 1 Credit Committee and 3 Election Committee.

Plenary session will follow where the chairman of the Board and management will report to the assembly the performance of the cooperative during year 2007.

Guadalupe Coop was created and formed in 1970 by the Scarborough Fathers of Leyte province who have formed credit unions in Leyte and in Cebu City, particularly at the St. Therese Parish. Guadalupe Coop started with 38 original cooperators when it was registered as a coop on Dec. 9, 1971. Now, Guadalupe Coop has grown and has been continuously answering the needs of its 15,000 members.
