MORE than 30 barangay officials of Siquijor Province were given an on-the-spot grant of Civil Service eligibility.
The activity was in line with the Oplan Barangayan of the Civil Service Commission in Central Visayas (CSC-7).
The Oplan Barangayan is a one stop shop where government agencies give services to the people instantly in one sitting.
The CSC eligibility is granted only to barangay officials who finished one term in office or have rendered five years of service.
The barangay officials were awarded with CSC eligibility after processing their papers at the National Statistics Office, local government units and the Department of the Interior and Local Government, among others.
The awarding was held during the barangay seminar workshop on leave and other privileges recently conducted by the CSC-7 and its field office in Siquijor.
The occasion was graced by CSC-7 Regional Director David Cabanag, Director Merlina Flores-Quilano, Personnel specialist Cynthia Castañares, Mayor Gold Calibo of Larena, Siquijor and a representative from the Government Service Insurance System ? Dumaguete.
