What better way to spend the night before Valentine's Day than to raise money for charity.
The Lions Club Cebu Centennials has teamed up with Cebu Fast Date Services, Cebu City's first and only seed dating and singles' events provider, for the launching of Speed Dating on February 13 at "D'vine Wine & Delis" wine bar in K. Building 800-A, Salinas Drive Lahug, Cebu City.
Speed dating is a new hot alternative where a group of singles - an equal number of men and women - sip on champagne.
Each participant will be issued a card, pen and a number.
The men will sit at a numbered table opposite their female partners and the dating starts.
After five minutes, a bell rings and the men move from table to table to meet all the 20 single women.
After meeting all the women, speed daters should mark ?yes? in favor of the women they would like to meet again and return the card at the end of the evening.
If the woman chosen by the speed dater also picked ?yes? in favor of him, the two will be paired off.
The host sends an e-mail or text message the next day, sharing contact information on behalf of interested parties.
The proceeds from the activity will go to the community projects of the Lions Club, which include feeding programs, medical missions, among others.
