Palo Alto, CA, Nov. 7, 2009 – Palo Alto, CA, Nov. 7, 2009 The past 12-18 months witnessed one of the worst recessions globally. The impact in Silicon Valley was felt but not as much. However, the rules of business have been forever changed. There is a new playbook that each one has to play by as we emerge out of this downturn. Are we ready as an industry? How does this impact the professional in the valley?

SIPA has organized a full day conference and networking event to deliberate on these issues with panel discussions and workshops. Two of the most prominent leaders in California will provide the keynote on this them - Silicon Valley 2010 and beyond.

Mr. Tom Campbell, Former Dean of Haas School of Business, the Budget director for Arnold Schwarzenegger and a candidate for the next Governor of California will be joining as keynote speaker.

Keynote Speaker for the evening session will be Mr. Steve Westly, Managing Partner at Westly Group, former Controller and Chief Fiscal Officer of the state of California, former SVP - Business Development and Marketing at eBay.

Learn about Enterprise Application in the Web 2.0 world in the panel discussion when practitioners in the enterprise space will discuss the evolving enterprise needs in the post Web 2.0 world, especially in this new economic reality. Prashant Shah of Hummer Windblad will moderate this panel and the panelists for this session are Naresh Shanker, CIO Palm, Cliff March, SVP Business Applications, Cost Plus World Market and Murali Rajagoapalan - Enterprise Architect, Sun Microsystems.

Clean Energy - Trends and Prospects is the topic for second panel discussion. Tony Seba will moderate the panel and the panelists comprising of Lex Sisney, CEO Current Analytics, Pete Childers, CEO & Co-founder Utility Scale Solar, Dr. K.V Ravi, CTO at Crystal Solar will discuss about clean energy markets, various opportunities and industry growth potential.

Panel discussions are concluded by a workshop from communication and leadership coach Peggy Klaus followed by a 30 minutes showcase of new and innovative startups.
