MANILA, Philippines — Foreigners who have acquired fake immigration stamps and bogus exit clearance would get a reprieve from the Bureau of Immigration (BI) if they just come clean.

In an advisory, the bureau said it would not detain these erring aliens should they voluntarily surrender to the agency. Instead, they will be directed to report to the BI Intelligence Division every first and third week of the month pending deportation proceedings.

“Upon the issuance of their deportation orders, their deportation shall be set on specified dates,” said the bureau.

On the specified dates, these foreigners will report to the agency and they shall be escorted to the airport for the implementation of their deportation orders.

“The aliens shall voluntarily surrender to the BI through the Law and Investigation Division, which will process their deportation papers,” the bureau said.
