Pañeros secure last semifinal seat in IBP All-Lawyers hoop

PAÑEROS  Dynasty Five led by Commissioner Joseph Kirby Calipayan grabbed the last semifinal seat after drubbing Blue Eagles of lawyer  Kit Enriquez, 48-35, in a knockout match last Saturday at the close of the elimination round of the 6th Integrated
Bar of the Philippines (IBP) All-Lawyers League basketball tournament at the Capitol Parish gym in Escario Street.

Pañeros Dynasty will join top-seeded Bhutakalz, Demonyos and Pecandela-Mang Tinapay in the semifinals.

The Dynasty pulled away with a 21-6 rally in the fourth period behind the leadership of Dennis Aliño.

Ruel Juban led Pañeros with 10 points and was the only double-digit scorer.  Rovelson Velmonte paced Eagles with 12 points.
The semifinal battle is set next week.
