By |

MANILA, Philippines—Hong Kong will soon just be a short plane ride away to the world-famous Boracay island-resort with Philippine Airlines (PAL) mounting a direct Hong Kong-Kalibo flight starting April 27.

In a statement, the national flag carrier said the opening of the new route aims to further boost market demand for Boracay.

The twice-weekly service will utilize PAL’s biclass Airbus A320 aircraft that seats 12 passengers in business class and 144 in the economy.

PAL flight PR289 leaves Hong Kong every Tuesday and Friday at 1:20 p.m. and arrives in Kalibo at 3:50 p.m.

The return flight, PR290, departs from Kalibo at 4:50 p.m. and arrives in Hong Kong at 7:20 p.m.
