Philippine advertising exec is Cannes Lions juror

Merlee Jayme, the chairperson and chief creative officer of DDB DM9 JaymeSyfu, has been chosen as one of the members of the jury for outdoor advertising in this year’s Cannes Lions Advertising Festival.

Jayme and other jurors led by Lo Sheung Yan, the executive creative director of JWT for Northeast Asia and JWT’s chair for China, will judge the most creative of the outdoor advertising entries submitted from around the world.

Other categories in the festival cover film, print, interactive, radio, design, promo and activation, film craft and integrated advertising. There will also be categories for best media, direct, PR, titanium and creative effectiveness ideas.

Founded in 1954, Cannes Lions is the world’s leading celebration of creativity in communications. The Philippine Daily Inquirer is the country’s official representative to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity which will be held on June 17-23 in Cannes, France.

    well said CDQ. Our country should realize that the effects of corruption is poverty and death. It’s comforting that at last we have a president who moves heaven and earth to stop this menace which has permeated into our “culture” – thanks but no thanks to Marcos, Gloria, Erap who championed corruption to the highest order.

    the work of the President today is more of a janitorial job, sweeping all the dregs of the past. It would be hard to inch farther as one wants to expect. Corruption is the root of all we have today, and persecuting them is the means of restoring our faith to our government.

       Baka yang mga prosecution at KKK ang Corrupt dahil ayaw ipakita ang SALN…

      Slogan lang yan anti-corrupt ni PNOY —hiding on that guise to prosecute his enemies… at lahat ng kanyang kalaban ay binansagan nyang corrupt…
