MANILA, Philippines – Malacanang now considers “a closed case” the controversy caused by US Ambassador Harry Thomas’ remarks that 4 out of 10 male tourists come to the Philippines to engage in sex tours.

Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda made the remarks after Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario disclosed that the ambassador has expressed his regret over the statement with an admission that it was without sufficient basis.

“We consider this a closed case but our fight against trafficking continues. We will continue to prosecute those who would take advantage of our people and our young ones,” Lacierda said on radio.

“I think the statement of ambassador shows clearly that he was not able to back it up the statistics. Hence, he has apologized to Secretary del Rosario and to our government,” he added.

    PUMAPAYAG KASI TAYONG MAGING DOORMAT

THIS KIND OF INDIVIDUAL HAS NO CAPABILITY TO DESPISE HIMSELF.

Closed case? He misses the point.

This is not about trafficking, that is just a rubbish argument and a distraction from the real issue. This is all about poverty driving young women into prostitution to feed their families. The poverty is ignored by the government and encouraged by the Catholic church via their stupid policy on birth control.

    Fix the real issue!!!

    • Anonymous

so obsessed with your pro-birth control views!

      Binayaran ka ba ng Trust?

      Hihi!

      Bayaran!

      Get out of here!

      • Tony B

You obviously prefer big families and big poverty instead of birth control.

I’m shocked, SHOCKED, that anyone would even suggest any wankers travel to the Philippines to indulge in easy and cheap sexual gratification. It simply cannot be! Never in a thousand years!
