DFA raises alert level 1 in Thailand

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Wednesday raised alert level 1 or precautionary phase in Thailand following the deadly bomb blast in Bangkok.

DFA said “alert level 1 is issued when there are valid signs of internal disturbance, instability, and external threat to the host country. Filipinos are alerted to take necessary precautions.”

The DFA advised Filipinos to avoid the following areas, as specified by the Thai police:
